WENDY BEVAN

Currently I'm completely inspired by the work of Wendy Bevan, I came across her in Muse magazine, and right now there's nothing I really want more than to be able to produce images as beautiful as these! I found the work near to completing a project 'Facsimile', that I'll probably put up at a later date, but it just made me realise there was so much more I could be doing with my images.

Broken

I found these lurking on my myspace page....yes, so very retro...
There's something I still like about them, sadly the windows were boarded up, so I couldn't go back.

86 West Street

'86 West Street' has been called home by three generations of my family. For a house that has sheltered so many, it is now only occupied by my Grandmother. The work aims to capture the spirit of the house, the imprint of family who have passed through and traces of my Grandmother's everyday life. It documents the aging of a house that in all probability won’t see another generation.

The series consisted of 12 images- this is a selection.

Since this project's completion, my Grandmother has moved closer to the family, in an unexpected twist of events, the house was bought by a young family rather than being demolished. I've heard they've changed the place significantly and I've often considered contacting the new owners to create a counterpart to these images- the way the house is now. Something to consider at least.

Change of Address

My boyfriend just sent me a change of a address card...but addressed it to Jack Bauer and suggested it was from Sayeed Ali on the back of the envelope....

Possibly the best thing ever to have arrived through the letter box.
Lauren's birthday present also arrived, but was somewhat over shadowed.

Graceless

Graceless:- My inaptitude to walk elegantly in heels...

Having found the desire to create a website of my work, but lacking the knowledge as to how, I decide upon the creation of a blog as a means of sharing work, ideas, thoughts and general nothingness's with anyone who may haplessly wander across this page.

I'm currently a second year Photographic Art student, waiting to start the final installment in September, desperately seeking summer employment as a means to obtain medium format film, the ability to process and much desired train tickets to London.

I'm still seeking.
